Summer Training Challenge and Upcoming Events

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hello Legacy Students and Parents!

  We are approaching the end of the school year and soon everyone will be out for summer!!  Legacy has so many great things in store for all of you this summer, and you won't wanna miss it!  We have some of our summer events listed below, so make sure you read carefully and please mark your calendars!  And as always if you have any questions please feel free to contact us!

Women's Self Defense Class- In honor of all of our Legacy moms for Mother's day this month we will be holding a women's self defense class!  We invite all of our Legacy moms, grandmas, aunts etc to come join us and feel free to bring your friends.  The class will be Saturday May 30th at Legacy Martial Arts at 12noon.  Please RSVP to Mrs. Cox via email and let us know how many in your group will be attending to secure your spot.  

Summer Events 

Memorial Day weekend- There will be no classes or demo team practice held on Saturday May 23rd and Monday May 25th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.


ITC & World Championships- The UFAF International Training Conference (ITC) and World Championships will be held Thursday July 16th- Sunday July 19th, at The Rio Hotel.  There will also be a Tribute Memorial Service for Grandmaster Chuck Norris held in conjunction with the ITC on Saturday July 18th.  UFAF members will have early access to tickets and will be able to get them at a discounted rate.  If you are interested in attending the tribute or participating or attending the ITC as a spectator contact us for details. 


Summer Training Challenge We are so excited to bring back our Summer Training Challenge again this summer! The Summer Training Challenge is Legacy Martial Arts challenging you to be your best!  You are not competing against anyone but yourself!  We will provide a list of training challenge techniques and you pick four categories that you want to challenge yourself in to help you get stronger, more fit, and be your best self!  Some examples of the challenge categories are:   Timed Kicks, sit ups, push ups, sprints, frog jumps, shrimps, bear crawls, jumping jacks, and so on!  We will dedicate time each week, starting the week of June 1st, during class for you to work on your training categories.  In order to complete the Summer Training Challenge you need to be in the training sessions and the timed challenges in class.  However, if you know you are going to be out of town for a timed challenge, don't let that stop you from participating, we will arrange training make up days too so that everyone who wants to do the challenge can!  There will be two official timed challenges the first one being the week of June 22nd, and then your final timed training challenge will be the week of July 27th.  For everyone who completes the Summer Training Challenge you will get to participate in the Summer Training Challenge ice cream sundae party!!  (The date of the ice cream party will be announced later in the summer.)  To all of our adult students, this challenge is for you too, not just for the kids!  We challenge ALL of you to be your best!  For everyone participating in the Summer Training Challenge you can pick up your Summer Training Challenge Card from the front desk at the end of May!
